The 2010 Ford Mustang.

After numerous teasers and whatnot, the new 2010 Mustang was finally unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This is basically a revision of the popular 2005 model (which was based on the 1969 model). So it’s basically a revision of a revival of a muscle car. And if that’s not the best damn setup for a new car, I don’t know what is!

And due to the massive success of the 2005 Mustang, Chevy and Dodge have also joined in on the retro bandwagon with their ‘new’ Challengers and Camaros.

The front end of the car is obviously inspired by the 2005 model. While there is some good in this, the wheelbase is a little too high, the lights a little too thin, and the ‘space’ between the intake holes and the lights a little too pronounced. The rims are also a little too big. There’s just this general feeling of bulkiness. Besides these little nitpicks I hope Ford will eventually fix, it looks nice.

Moving on to the rear, it looks like they shrunk the spoiler quite a bit. I love the new rear lights though. Very retro.

From looks alone, this looks like basically the same V8 that Ford has been using on the old model (correct me if I’m wrong). Which means it has around 300 HP. Niiice.
